I thought it fitting that I would leave my last video to upload on the last day of the year. This time last year I was finishing up my bodice anticipating the biggest and most important day of my life. 2012 was an amazing year, one to be remembered forever.
Making this dress was something I had wanted to do since I first started sewing/designing (which was the ripe ol’ age of 12!) I now had the man and the skills and I was damn well going to make the dress of my dreams! I feel immensely proud of what I accomplished and am so glad I had the idea to document it all for you.
In this last installment I show mainly the hemming of the outer skirt (all by hand) and the lining. Now I did have a petticoat underneath the gown on the day to add that ball-gown fullness. Another thing not shown is the process of making flower corsage shoulder strap. Being the designer, I am entitled to my little secrets 😉 . Also, I am saving the ‘making of the sash’ videos I took for later. Call it a bonus if you will!

Happy New Year!
